Who operates this site

Alts Insider is operated by Alts Insider Media Labs LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company operating in Ontario, Wyoming and Grand Cayman. The company is the site's legal operator.

Education and research, not advice

Everything on this site is general education and research about private capital markets in Canada. It is written for general circulation and does not take account of any reader's circumstances, objectives or tolerance for risk. None of it is investment, tax, legal or accounting advice, a recommendation, or an offer to sell or a solicitation to buy any security. Alts Insider does not promote any security, manager, GP or opportunity.

Not a dealer, adviser or issuer

Alts Insider is not registered with any provincial or territorial securities regulator, as a dealer, an adviser or in any other category of registration. • Leverage. Borrowing inside an investment magnifies losses as well as gains.
• Loss of capital. Some or all of the money invested can be lost.
• Fewer protections. Exempt-market securities are sold without a prospectus, so the disclosure and rights that come with one may not apply.
• Manager and counterparty. Results depend on the skill and integrity of the manager and the parties it deals with.
