Who is responsible

Alts Insider is operated by Alts Insider Media Labs LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company operating in Ontario, Wyoming and Grand Cayman. The company is the site's legal operator. It is responsible for the personal information this site collects.

What this site collects

The newsletter. If you sign up on the newsletter page, the site sends your email address to ActiveCampaign, which holds the subscriber list and sends the newsletter.

The Playbook. If you request the Playbook, the site sends your email address, and your name if you give it, to ActiveCampaign, which adds you to the mailing list and sends the Playbook and the series of educational emails that follows it.

Analytics. Every page loads Google Analytics. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google information about your visit, such as the pages you view, the page that referred you, your device and browser, and an approximate location derived from your IP address.

Fonts. The site's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google, which receives your IP address and browser details.

Hosting. The site is hosted on Vercel, which receives each request your browser makes, including your IP address and browser details, in order to serve the page.

The site has no accounts and no sign-in.

Why

• To send the newsletter, the Playbook and the emails you signed up for.
• To see which pages are read, so the material can be improved.
• To serve the site.

Who processes it, and where

• ActiveCampaign: holds the email list and sends the emails
• Google: Google Analytics, and the site's fonts (Google Fonts)
• Vercel: hosts the site

These companies may store and process information outside Canada. Information held in another country is subject to that country's laws and may be accessible to its authorities.

How long it is kept

• Newsletter and Playbook sign-ups (name and email): Kept until you unsubscribe, then deleted within 30 days
• Website usage data (Google Analytics): Kept for 14 months

Your choices

• You can unsubscribe from the emails at any time, using the link in any of them.
• You can block or delete analytics cookies in your browser's settings.
• You can ask to see the personal information Alts Insider holds about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted.

To make a request, write to info@altsinsider.ca with the subject “Privacy request”.

If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
