Investor categories
Canadian securities law defines categories of investor. Some ways of selling securities without a prospectus are available only to investors in a particular category.
This page sets out three defined categories word for word: accredited investor and eligible investor from National Instrument 45-106, and permitted client, a category from National Instrument 31-103. The walkthrough below lets you note which, if any, you say applies to you. It runs only in your browser. Nothing you choose is sent or saved.
